Error Description:

Compobj.dll file is out of date

Resolution:

This error is stating that you have an old version of this file in your WINDOWSSYSTEM directory. The installation program will not erase the old version, as it does not erase any files on your computer. To install correctly, follow the instructions below: For Windows 3.1/3.11 or 95:

  1. Go to a DOS prompt.
  2. Type CD WINDOWS SYSTEM and press [Enter]
  3. Type RENAME COMPOBJ.DLL COMPOBJ.DL2 and press [Enter]
  4. Reinstall the software. It will place the new version of this file into your WINDOWSSYSTEM directory. The DLL files should be backwards compatible and not affect other programs on your computer.

The SAWS A is no longer available for purchase. Support for this software will continue for computers that fall within the parameters of the system requirements.  For a list of system requirements please see the article in this section titled “System Requirements”
