Frequently Asked Question:
Will this score the WASI?
Resolution:
The Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI) four subtests of Vocabulary, Similarities, Block Design, and Matrix Reasoning yield FSIQ, VIQ, and PIQ scores. WASI scores cannot be used with the Wechsler scoring software because the scoring programs require entering the individual subtest scores.
WASI is the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence and offers a quick, reliable measure of intelligence in clinical, educational, and research settings. WASI is nationally standardized and can be used for ages 6 to 89 years. The Wechsler Abbreviated is linked to the Wechsler Intelligence scale for Children-Third Edition (WISC-III), and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition (WAIS-III).
WASI consists of four subtests: Vocabulary, Similarities, Block Design, and Matrix Reasoning and yields the three traditional Verbal, Performance, Full Scale IQ scores; it does not yield individual subtest scores as seen in the other Wechsler tests.
