When I export into a Word document, the spell check is not working.

Resolution:

In Word 97, message is received stating ""spell-check is complete."" (But misspelled words remain), In Word 2000, message received stating "spell-check complete but text marked 'do not check spelling or grammar' was skipped."

Word 97:

  • Press Ctrl+A to select the entire report.
  • Go to Tools, Language, Set Language.
  • Change from 'Do not proof' to 'English (United States) and click OK.

Word 2000:

  • Press Ctrl+A to select the entire report.
  • Go to Tools, Language, Set Language.
  • Un-check the box for 'do not check spelling or grammar' and click OK.

Word 2003

  • Press Ctrl+A to select the entire report.
  • Go to Tools, Language, Set Language.
  • Highlight ""English""
  • Un-check the box for 'do not check spelling or grammar' and click OK.
  • Click the Floppy Icon to save the changes
  • Now misspelled words will be underlined.

 Word 2007          

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button
  • Click word Options
  • Click  Proofing
