Answer:

Check the printer driver and make sure it is set as the default. Also check the HP website at www.hp.com, go support and drivers and make sure you are using the most updated driver. You may also try using a generic driver like the laserjer II driver from the Microsoft printer drivers list. Windows 95/98

  1. Go START, SETTINGS, PRINTER.
  2. Create a generic HP printer driver
  3. Double-click ADD PRINTER and select HP then HP LASERJET
  4. Set HP LASERJET as DEFAULT PRINTER.
