Frequently Asked Question:

Transfer data file to another computer

Answer:

The default path to the program folder is: C:\Program Files\Sensory Profile, and the database is stored in the SensoryProfileSource.mdb file. The full path is: C:\Program Files\Sensory Profile\ SensoryProfileSource.mdb.

To avoid losing your database files because of a hardware or system failure, regularly make a backup copy of the files:

  • If you are running Sensory Profile, exit the program.
  • Use Windows Explorer to display the drive and folder in which your database file is located.
  • Highlight the SensoryProfileSource.mdb file.
  • Copy the file.
  • Navigate to a safe location.
  • Paste the files.

There are no options to merge two databases as one. If you uninstall Sensory Profile from one computer to install to another system, you should first backup the original database. Uninstall Sensory Profile, install to the second computer, and copy the SensoryProfileSource.mdb file from the first install to the new installation.

The Sensory Profile is no longer available for purchase. Please update your software to the enhanced Sensory Profile Select Scoring Assistant.
