In order for the OpScan 4ES to work with GRADE and/or GMADE, it must be set to either  "OMR ONLY" or "OPSCAN" mode.

The software also need to then be set to "OpScan" mode via Administration Setup:

The scanner mode can be changed via the scanner's background menu which can be accessed by holding down both of the buttons beneath the display for 5 seconds.
