Error Description:

Application error - The following error occurred in App_Initialize (modInitialize):
C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA\Data\CVLT II_DAT.MDB is not a valid path (Er:3044/L: 60)

Resolution:

The default install location for CVLT-II Scoring Assistant is C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA and the program database folder is saved as C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA\Data. The files inside that folder are:

  • cvlt2.mdb
  • cvlt2_dat.mdb
  • cvlt2_scores.mdb.

The folder and files must remain within the default path and available to the user. The folder C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA\Data must not be set to read-only. If the folder is set as read-only or if the database is moved to another drive or folder, you will receive the following error:

CVLT-II Application Error
The following error occurred in App_Initialize (modInitialize):
'C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA\Data\CVLT2_DAT.MDB is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides. (Er: 3044/L: 60).

Use Windows Explorer and open C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA. Check the properties for the Data folder and ensure that it is not set as read-only. Open the Data folder and ensure that these files exist and are not set to read-only:

  • cvlt2.mdb
  • cvlt2_dat.mdb
  • cvlt2_scores.mdb

If you cannot locate the files and do not have a valid backup copy of the database, uninstall CVLT II and reinstall to restore the data path. This error message can also be a rights issue, make sure the user has (Read, Write, Edit, Modify and Delete) access to the CVLT-II folder located at C:\Program Files\CVLT II SA. Please see your system administrator to add this access if it does not exist.
