Frequently Asked Question:

How do I change default for saving data files to another directory?

Answer:

You may change the path for saving raw data by editing the program defaults.

Set SAWS-A Default Path. You may edit the {C:\WINDOWS\SAWS-A.INI} file to reflect a different path for saving the raw data. The default path information is:

[Export]
WaisExportFileName=WAIS3.DAT
WmsExportFileName=WMS3.DAT

This may be edited to reflect a different path and folder to save the data. Insert the preferred new path after the equal sign and keep the original file names {WAIS3.DAT} and {WMS3.DAT}:

[Export]
WaisExportFileName=c:\SAWS-A Data\WAIS3.DAT
WmsExportFileName=c:\SAWS-A Data\WMS3.DAT

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you make a backup copy of the original {SAWS-A.INI} file before making any changes.

The SAWS A is no longer available for purchase. Support for this software will continue for computers that fall within the parameters of the system requirements.  For a list of system requirements please see the article in this section titled “System Requirements”
