Frequently Asked Question:

Does SAWS-A create a database for research use?

Answer:

SAWS-A does not keep database records of the raw scores entered, but there are two ways for you to safely keep the data:

  1. Print the Tables: This option provides a hard copy backup of the raw scores entered. This report may include either WAIS-III or WMS-III or both.
  2. Export the Data: Select FILE, EXPORT. The exported data will include the raw scores and the norm reference scores. The data is exported as ASCII (DOS) text and is comma-delimited for import into a spreadsheet application for use in research. You may export WAIS-III or WMS-III data; the two tests are exported separately to the files WAIS3.DAT and WMS3.DAT where new exported records are appended to the end of files.

The SAWS A is no longer available for purchase. Support for this software will continue for computers that fall within the parameters of the system requirements.  For a list of system requirements please see the article in this section titled “System Requirements”
