Component transfer error
Resolution:
This and similar errors may be resolved with a clean installation of the product:
- Close all open programs and windows.
- Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Delete] one time. (Note: Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Delete] only once; pressing [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Delete] twice will restart your computer).
- A Close Program window will appear.
- Find the first item OTHER than Explorer or Systray; highlight it by clicking on in one time. DO NOT click on Shut Down or End Task, Explorer or Systray; they are essential components of Windows.
- Once an item other than Explorer or Systray is highlighted, click on the End Task button at the bottom of the window. The Close Program box will disappear.
Additional Information:
A second window may appear with the message "This program is no longer responding. It may be waiting...." This is normal for some programs; click on the End Task button again.
- Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each item OTHER than Explorer and Systray.
- Proceed with installation normally.
